This 1 day training will provide attendees with a solid grounding in wetland development; relevant wetland regulations; and what parameters to look for in identifying possible wetlands in the field. This is not a wetland delineation training, instead this will provide managers and technicians with the enough knowledge to know when it would be necessary to call in a wetland specialist. The course will be a mix of lecture, and identification of soil and plant samples in a classroom setting, and field visits. GIS mapping resources will be evaluated, as well as other on-line tools.
